My Scary Story

 Hi readers today I have made a horror story about anything for a activity for my reading here it is.

I'M COMING FOR YOU!! 

One night I woke up at 3 Am in the morning and I thought I heard something in my closet. I thought it was nothing until I heard it again. Then I really woke up and got a really big fright.I looked in the closet and there was nothing there then I jumped into my bed and I heard a girl screaming in my closet again. I turned on my light and looked in there. there was a toy that had scratches in it and it was making a screaming noise. I turned it off then I saw a shadow out in the hallway. It looked in the room and I quickly jumped into bed and it came in my room and said I know you are awake. Open your eyes and tell me how I look. I have really big eyes and sharp teeth and burnt face. I felt the cold breeds of his breath and it passed 2 minutes of him telling me to open my eyes. I opened my eyes after two minutes and there was nothing there. I looked out the window and it was sprinting to my bedroom window it started screaming at me and I ran to my parents room and fell asleep. I woke up in the morning and thought about it and I was never going to tell anyone.

Chapter two 

After that night I never said anything about it but one night when I was grown up it happened again when I was older. The same thing happened but this time I wasn't scared. I opened my eyes and started shouting i'm not afraid, I'm not afraid. He said ok I will go haunt someone else like your little baby brother I said no just me. Because I am not afraid of you. I woke up in the morning still thinking about it but that was when I told mum. She said I was crazy like all mums were she said I'm taking you to see someone about your dreams so they stop.

The overall was Playing to win the book name. It was pretty cool and interesting to me. My favourite part was when some some kids took the spark the plugs out of his car in the book. The characters are Denny,Logan,Alice. And other people. You should read this book it is interesting I think you will like it you would enjoy it.It is a 4 star rating book.

 Hi readers today I will be talking to you about my speech about school. My speech it 2 minutes long and very interesting. I will put a video on this blog so you can see me reading my speech to you and every one else. It was hard when you were actually recording so you didn't like stumble over your words and not make sense. I learned that I could speak out loud to people in school and outside of school. Persuasive writing means when you make the readers believe in something like an opinion or an action. I enjoyed when you had to make the speech and practise reading the speech.

Hi readers today I will answer some questions about playing to win these are my questions that I have to finish off for the day these questions are from the book they are based on the characters in the story. 

1. Denny has lots of responsibilities in his life; he helps his Mum with finances, has a job, he takes care of his sisters and is part of a team. Do you think these are reasonable responsibilities for a sixteen year old? Why or why not? Yes because he needs to grow up thinking he can do it and get a better job and help his mum and his sisters out.
   
   

2. What responsibilities do you have in your life? How do you manage them and make sure you are completing everything you are trusted to do? Think about what you do at school and at home or in your spare time. I have to look after my brother help my mum be a good role model to my brothers. And I play games in my spare time or hang with my brother.  

3. Denny feels pressured to drink at the party, but he still says no. Why do you think the boys were pressuring him? Why do you think it is important to stand up for your beliefs? What values do you think he was showing by saying no to underage drinking? The boys were pressuring him because they wanted him to not be boring and so they could make him do dumb stuff. It is important to stand up for your beliefs because it is good to have beliefs or you would be dumb and not make good choices.

Hi readers today I am going to tell you about how we did blackout poetry online on our computer with different stories. Freak The MIghty

 Freak The Mighty Who is the protagonist the protagonist is freak He is the main character in Freak The Mighty.Freak's personality is quite weird. He is scared most of the time and has an attitude to most people he is angry he kicks people when they go to hug him. The main events that have happened so far is freak has got a really bad attitude and he has metal tubes up his legs and he acts like a robot. I predict that Freak and this other kid are going to help each other and protect each other and they are going to do something that will help people.

    Read the blurb.it Interested me because it made me want to read it and not stop reading it. And the characters in the story and there is a movie about it with a boy with crutches.  I predict that the story will be about 2 kids protect each other and help each other out in problems. And they are special and need care from people that help the disabled the author is Rodman philbrick.  He writes heaps of books and this one was my favorite out of them all he also has a movie about Freak The Mighty.

Hi readers today I am going to tell you about Blackout Poetry we did in art class today with mr birtch. I have been working on a blackout poem. It is when you pick the words that shine out at you and you try to make them into a poem. The purpose is to think about the words and be able to put random words into a poem.

 The experience was like I was shocked that I could do this.

 I enjoyed the bit where you draw the pictures when you black it out with a vivid. I liked it when we had to do the drawing and it inspired me to draw more. Because I think I cant draw but people saw I am good at it so it inspired me to draw more.

Respect in PEe

Hi readers today i am going to tell you about Respect in pe. And to the teacher and who is looking after you in the gym or the class room. 1.Those people without PE gear will not particapate and revive a consequence . 2.Before comming into the gym you must line up as a class outside the door. 3.Once you are changed into the PE gear you must come and sit down as a class in place you were asked by the teacher. 4. All gear must be left alone untill the teacher has instructed you to use it. 5.Dont be silly when playing a game in the gym.

Gingerbread Man questions

 Hi readers today I am going to tell you some questions about the Gingerbread Man and the old lady and old man. The questions will be from characterization.

1. The protagonist is the old lady and all the animals.

2. The antagonist is the Gingerbread Man.

3. I reckon the Gingerbread Man is a static character because he doesn't change in any of the storys. 

Direct characterization. Is like the old lady and the old man said what they do like the man said he gardens and the lady just cooks and cleans and then does nothing.

Indirect characterization. is about the Gingerbread Man His actions shows us he is A little cheeky Gingerbread Man and he thinks he is fast as usain bolt. And he thinks people can't eat him and catch him.

My evidence. Is when he says he is really fast nobody can catch him and when he keeps saying rude things to all the animals and old lady and man.

Art narrative story.

Hi readers today I am going to tell you about A narrative story. We had to draw a forest with a road so it looks like it keeps on going and going. It has trees and bushes and tree trunks. We had to do different instructions to finish it the problem was when you had to draw a lot of trees. The problem was when you looked at the picture it made it look like it was far away. That was A rhetorical question by the way readers. The problem was resolved by looking at the art a certain way to make it look like it didn't keep going and going. It looks really cool in my opinion.    

One day a Boy named bob His last name was bob the builder he saw a broken tree and was like oh no. I should tell the community that owns this place so they can fix it or get rid of it. So bob did that and they fixed it. Bob solved the problem by talking to someone for help to help the poor tree. So that is how Amazing bob solved the problem with the tree. And he was happy and bob always walked through the park every day. And night.

 Hi readers it is me again today I am going to tell you the questions about gravity.And in space so these are the questions.

1.Is gravity the same on all planets=No gravity is not the same because if you jump on earth it is the same as jumping but it is different on mars and the other planets because if you jump on mars you will just float and come back down.Because gravity just has enough gravity to pull you back down slowly. 

2.How is gravity related to mass? gravity is the attractive pull between two objects that have mass The strength of gravity is directly proportional to the amount of mass of each object.

3.calculate your weight on the other planets in our solar system.(If your not sure what your mass is use a 30 kg labrador. retriever.)which planet would you weigh the most on? We calculate weight by multiplying mass by the gravity on the surface of the planet. So, if you know your weight on Earth and the surface gravity on Earth, you can calculate your mass. 

4.How would your life be different if you lived on a planet with higher gravity or lower gravity. About Parihaka!

Hi readers it is me again today I am going to tell you about Parihaka and what happened in the land of Parihaka. What did happen in Parihaka. Well I am here to tell you about it and what happened. Well the Parihaka were peaceful people they did not like to fight. One day british people came across the Parihaka people they wanted their land to take it from them for the british people to take. But the Parihaka people did not want to give their land up they just wanted to share it with the british. But the british would not accept the offer they gave the parihaka one more warning to pack and leave the parihaka would not leave so the british people said get out now or you will get thrown in jail or even killed. So the british left for a couple of days and then came back to Parihaka. The parihaka people made hundreds of bread for the British they did not accept the offer again. And started throwing the parihaka people in jail and if they would try and escape or resist they would kill them and murder them. So that is the true story of Parihaka.Parihaka was a nice peaceful place to live in. And the people were so peaceful but the british did not like it. They loved living there.

Staryteller.

Hi readers it is me again to tell you about the story called Staryteller. It is based on Mars and what happened with Mars. 

1.The crews stayed in the lab for two weeks in space with dehydrated food. They slept in bunk beds every night for the whole fortnight.They spent their time studying geology,biology,and astronomy. And learning about the challenges of living in a small space together.

2. The scary thing was being in such a unfamiliar place. And your their 24/7.

3.It is important for astronauts to practise before they go into space. I think it is important because they need to be able to stay up their in space for quite awhile and they need to know how to steer the rocket when you just about to hit something like a asteroid in space and they need to know how to go toilet and where and how to sleep in space. And know hot to get places when your floating around in the rocket. Also you need to know where all the supplies are and how to get them and where the oxygen tanks are to change tanks and know how to change the oxygen tank.

Hi readers it me again today I am going to tell you about the people of Taranaki. The People of Taranaki were forced to give their land over to the british people and if they did not give them their land they would have to go to the jail. The Taranaki people wanted peace and not to have a war between them but they would not listen to the Taranaki people and put them all in jail. And even some people were killed in this process. The school that was related to the people who were sent to jail and killed went on a trip to the jail to see things and look around and sung some songs to the people in the jail.

Hi readers it me again  I am going to tell you about the mars rover and Mars and how the rover got there and what it is doing up their on Mars and when it went up to Mars.

WOW! Look, it is a rover.
A rover is a machine that takes photos for the NASA company so they can see what is going on on Mars. It sends the signals to a satellite.That sends things to the NASA company to see if there's anything living or growing or doing something suspicious. 
 The Rover was taken up by rocket 5 days ago the rocket  was coordinated to Mars by the NASA company 
You could see the rocket on a site called the NASA program.There were no people on the rocket.

How much sleep children need.

1.How much sleep teenagers  need to get. Teenagers need to get 8 to 11 hours of sleep through the night to have a nice bright day the next day.

2.What time do you wake up to get to school. At 7:30. What time do you go to sleep average. At 8:30 

Calculate the times,does this give you enough sleep. It will give you an average of 11:30 hours of sleep.

  3.quality of sleep:list four ways you can help your body get a quality nights sleep(most of this happens before bedtime) you could have a nice cold drink of water,read a book for 10 minutes,just relax and lie down.

4.In your own words,why do you think it is important to get a good night sleep each night.how do you think this will help you at school. It will make you think better and focus at school and not yawn and be tired all the time at school so you can listen to the teacher.

 

4 food groups meal plan.

We are learning about the 4 groups meal plan.And how much water we need A day.And we need to add  vegetables grains milk products and legumes. 

Your Task: Create a meal plan for 1 day that includes all the necessary amounts for each of the 4 Food Groups

Vegetables + Fruit - at least 3 servings of veges and 2 servings of fruit every day 

Grain foods - 6 servings each day (check portion sizes)

Milk/Milk products - 2 servings

Legumes/Nuts/Seeds/Fish/Seafood/Eggs/Poultry/Meat etc. - 2 servings 

When you have created your meal plan, please highlight each food based on the colours provided above. This will help us clearly see where each of the food groups has fit in. Remember, you want each meal to be a balanced plate.

Bonus research: how many glasses of water should we have each day? Fit this into your meal plan.
