100 Word horror story.

 Horror story

Come on Francis where are you? We have to go.We arrived at the Black Forest at midnight and we had to sleep in the car small .I am frantic. Later that night I heard something outside of the car and the windows were slightly down. Whatever it was it was hungry. All you could hear was scratching on the outside of the car. So I opened the door to only see a 72 kg cat. But then something came running to me from in the forest. It looked crooked and ugly.So I ran and never told anyone what happened.

The fight to vote.

Hi readers today I will be talking to you about the right to vote On 19 September 1893 the governor, Lord Glasgow, signed a new Electoral Act into law. As a result of this landmark legislation, This text is about women suffrage. And the right to vote. In 1893 the women started to crowed around the countermen place they started to yell out. We should have the right to vote they kept yelling that out louder and louder so then they started to say let us vote so they considered it. So they started to let them vote.

Why was New Zealand the first women to have suffrage women usually worked with their husband on there farm. The women though they should have the same jobs as the men do. The women should be able to have the same vote. In 1885 women have to do things for the men like woman had  to help the men because they always drinking problems for them to get a vote. Kate Sheppard believe the suffrage was real that is why she got to sign the petition. And Kate Sheppard was the first female national council of women in New Zealand. Kate Sheppard was also first to sign the petition.

Diwali

Hello readers today I'm going to make a new blog post about Diwali, Diwali is an Indian culture. I made a DLO and put facts about Diwali in it. Here is my DLO I hope you like it:

Children's war.

Hi readers today I will be talking to you about the children war. I will be explaining things about it and why. If you would like to read it for yourself click here

Interesting fact: The most interesting fact in the story was that the children had to practise for war and the army.

The most interesting fact: The main idea is for the kids to be ready for war and telling us why they need to be ready for war.

3 Questions about the text I read

1.How old were the kids?

2.Where was the kids parents?

3.Where were they original from?

Captain Cook !

Hi readers today I am going to talk to you about captain James Cook.

  1. What were Captain Cook’s two missions? The first was to travel to Tahiti to observe the transit of Venus, found land, he was to chart it.

  2. In 1716 what did Edmond Halley do? 1716, he devised a method for observing transits of Venus across the disk of the sun in order to determine accurately the distance of the Earth from the Sun.

  3. Calculate the difference of this equation: the 1700s results showed that Earth was 93,727,000 miles from the sun. We know the correct distance is around 149,600,000 miles. How far off was the original calculation? 92,900,000

  1. In your own words, explain how a fathom was used to calculate the depth of the water? They used it by there is a fathom line or curve. They join all the lines together that means the water is the same depth.

  2. Do you think this was a clever technology of the time? How might you have suggested sailors measure the depth of the water? Yes because it would help them a lot with finding sunken ships.

  3. Opinion Paragraph: Do you think that early explorers such as Captain Cook were skilled Mathematicians? Why or why not? What evidence can you provide from the text to support your ideas. Yes because they needed to read the map and all the numbers. They need to be able to read a map or you cant find where to go.
