hokey pokey

Aim: To make hokey pokey using sugar, golden syrup and baking soda.

Materials:

1. 2 table spoons Golden Syrup
2. 4 tablespoons sugar
3. 1 Heaped teaspoon of baking soda
4. Pot
5. Tablespoon and teaspoon
6. Bunsen burner
7. Paper cups

Method:

1. Put 4 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of golden syrup in a saucepan and melt.
2. Bring to the boil and simmer gently for 5 minutes
3. Add baking soda and stir vigorously.
4. Put the hokey pokey on a piece of grease prove paper to to cool

Neutralisation Experiment.

Equipment:

• Universal Indicator

• 1 M HCl ( Hydrochloric Acid)

• 1 M NaOH (Sodium Hydroxide)

• 4 Test tubes

• Test tube rack

• 2 plastic pipette

  Method:

  
  

  1. Take a test tube rack with 1 boiling tube at each end of the rack and 4 test tubes.

  2. Half Fill the boiling tube at one end with Sodium Hydroxide.

  3. Half fill the boiling tube at the other end with Hydrochloric acid.

  4. Fill each test tube with 5 drops of Universal indicator.

  5. Using the pipettes you will add drops of the acid or alkaline to the test tubes to make colours of Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet.

  6. DO NOT MIX UP THE PIPETTES

Today in art we were working on doing a drawing and colouring we had to trace three time then put them all together and pick parts we like. And then colour them and then make a blog post about what we have done. Then on the other side of the paper we grab some paint and a roller and paint over the back and the stuff that we coloured will pop out in the painting. Here is my work but I have not done the painting part yet. Hope you like it.

 1. blue litmus paper determinants if something is acidic. It turns red in solutions with a pH less than seven

2. Red litmus paper determines if something is alkaline. It turns blue in solutions with pH greater than seven. 

Litmus is a tree fungi and is make into small paper strips or a liquid for testing acids or alkcalines.

Steps.

1.Rip litmus paper in half and put half in each test tube.

2. Add three drops of hydroxide acid into the blue litmus paper in test tube 1.

4.Add three drops of sodium hydroxide to the blue litmus paper in test tube 3. 

5.Add 3 drops of sodium hydroxide to the blue litmus paper in test tube 4.

I reckon we should be able to have our phones at school and in class. Because what if we get a phone call and it is important. We will be able to know what happened and we would have to leave school. And we can get them taken off us if we be naughty. And if we do something silly on the phone the teacher can take it off us. This is what I want I want a r34 skyline this is why i want this car. It really just it is nice and this is why. Some people like cars like this some do not like this car. This car is fast and really noisy and cool. It is e legal in New Zealand and some other country's and states. Thank you for reading my blog

The reason why I want this is because it makes a flutter noise it is fast and they just inspire me to get one the r34 is my favourite there are multiple cars like this like the r33 the r32 r36 and much more. Some people like some do not me and my friends like this car one of my other friends like the r32. But i like the r34 because you might ask because it just feels right to like this car.

This car can be a drifting car and some can be racing cars some can have different customisation like no flutter or like twin turbo and much more. The fastest skyline is an r32 GTR Modified R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R Breaks World Record With 6-Second Quarter-Mile at 219 MPH. But the second fastest is the r34 my dream is to have one of those cars in my life.

So that is why i like r34 skylines and they are awesome. This car makes a lot of noises. This is an video of the car driving and drifting hope you like it. This car is e legal in New Zealand i dont know why but it just is. But I want that rule to change in New Zealand.

Uniform

 I reckon we shouldent have to wear school uniform because I mean we are going to do school work anyway just not in school uniform. Some people like school uniform some do not because it can be itchy or weird leather. Its not like if we dont wear school uniform does not mean we are not going to do school work it is only clothing I mean really school uniform. 

If we have to wear school uniform so should the teachers do to. Some people will agree some will not because some people could just go out of school and the teachers wont know because they will just think it as an ordinary kid that does not go to school or they have a teachers only day. We have to wear school shoes like really school shoes what even why do we have a specific school shoe. Some people like to wear what they wear at home but if we do we will probably get told off. So that is why I reckon we shouldent have school uniform. Maybe you might have a different opinion.

Sport

 I reckon year 7 and 8 sport is important because it helps with fitness and we can calm down and get all our energy out before home time. Some people like doing sport some people do not like doing sport but I reckon sport is good for your health. And get all the adrenaline in and out. And it helps people that normally do not do sport. I enjoy sport very much and it helps people get fit and healthy. So that is why I think sport is important.

Why you might say we have sport at school we have sport at school because the teachers all decided it could help and it would be fun to play what ever sport you want. Like hockey,rugby,netball,And much more sometimes we compete with other schools around Christchurch. We sometimes go to Wycola for hockey and rugby.

Ice cream vs cake

I reckon ice cream is better than cake because when you have ice cream is better on a hot day because it cools you down. But cake is just spongy and chocolatey. It is better because heaps of reasons like it cools you down it is nice and creamy and tasty and heaps of different flavor. But cake does not have that much flavors but people still like it. So that is why I like Ice cream better than Cake. But other people have different opinions its not alright to judge people for what they like and do not like. People like cupcakes that is still cake and sundaes are still Ice cream. You can put decorations on cake and some on ice creams. You can make ice cream spiders out of ice cream and soda in one cup. So that is why I like Ice cream better than cake.

Electric cars

Have you ever heard about electric cars? Gas powered cars could kill people and take heaps of lives because of the smoke produces out the exhaust. It can even kill animals and much more. Nobody likes it when people die or even peoples pets. Come on no one wants a family member to pass or even a pet.

The reason I picked this is because it does not pollute the air. Some electric cars are cheap some are expensive. If gas powered cars pollute the air to much people can die from the smoke that comes out of an exhaust. some people like gas powered cars and some do not. Gas is a lot of money but electric cars are free to charge over night or something so it costs much less than gas powered cars.

These cars are good for the environment and they just need some electricity for them to charge you can charge them at home or at a charge station and you can leave your car for a while. Some can be small and some can have heaps of space to travel. Then  it helps save people's lives by not polluting the air. See how I am talking about people that can dye from the smoke. Because I want every one to have electric cars so the world last longer.

That is why electric cars are so good for people who cares you have to pay for it at least it is saving humanity and the whole world from dying. So go out there and get some electric cars save up some money and by it treat yourself to a car that is saving people. Elon Musk made a electric car it is called a Tesla a lot of people around the world have brought it. So that is why I am talking about the electric cars go save humanity people thank you for reading.

Dogs vs cats

 Hi readers today I will be telling you why dogs are better than cats I agree that dogs are better the cats just sit down all day and never come home. And they meow at the front door all night or at the window. And with a dog they are playful and jump around and they let you go for walk with them. They sleep with you and it is cute and they sleep with you. So that is why I think dogs are better than cats.

Zorb balls

 Hi readers today i will be showing you some facts about zorb balls and why they were created and when they were created.

 Dwayne Van and Der Sluis and Andrews Akins created the zorbs. They were created on 1998 that was quite a long time ago. They were meant for walking on water and going up and down hill and having fun with family and friends. They made inflatable shoe to walk on water they did not work that is when they created the zorbs. It was rather an upgrade to walk on water there are diffident types of zorbs some for on grass and some for on water. The ones for grass had a hole in the side so you can breath and a strap to hold your self in. And the water one had no hole it has a maximum time of 30 minutes

Craig bond

 1. What was the problem Craig bond had?

He had a flat tire one day and a strangers blew it up in a couple of seconds and then he had an idea.

In 2007 they seen what the pests done like possums and stoats and kiore.

There were so much stoats in New Zealand they wanted to make better and bigger traps to help with the pest problem.

 string instruments a guitar and a ukulele song thing that has strings on it. The parts of a ukulele are the head the nuts the strings and the sound hole and heaps more. You play a string instrument by strumming it or swaying it even like a violin. I learnt how to play some song on the ukulele.

Changing lives omeo.

 The omeo is basically just a wheelchair but id you lean forward it will move instead of using hands you use your movement it is hands free it has and storage pocket to store things and foot rests.It also can go on grass and rubble and sand. omeo is for people that cannot walk that were in a wheelchair and they seen Kevin Halsalls video. The video got over 20 million views and people were email Kevin Halsall and asking for one. 

1. Omeo is different from a man powered wheelchair it is electric and you do not have to use your hands.And it has a storage compartment. 

2.The most liberating thing on the omeo it can go on the beach and rubble.

Innovation task. I would make something so people can walk if they can not walk.The invention is a wheelchair but you have to stand and it moves when you walk and it helps you to move your legs.It is most for old people that cannot walk and younger people if they can not walk.It is transportable i can fold up into a chair it is easy it changes in to a chair. It is able to fit in a car it can go on a plane.

Come on Francis where are you? We have to go.We arrived at the Black Forest at midnight and we had to sleep in the car small .I am frantic. Later that night I heard something outside of the car and the windows were slightly down. Whatever it was it was hungry. All you could hear was scratching on the outside of the car. So I opened the door to only see a 72 kg cat. But then something came running to me from in the forest. It looked crooked and ugly.So I ran and never told anyone what happened.

 Chromatography is a technique for the separation of a mixture by passing it in our solution or suspension through a medium in which the components move at different rates.

Aim:To separate the colours from the skittles by using chromatography.

Materials:

Method:

1. Place skittles around the each of the petri dish.

2. Carefully put the water onto the dish.

3. Watch to see which colours reach the middle first.

 Hi readers today I will be talking to you about the right to vote On 19 September 1893 the governor, Lord Glasgow, signed a new Electoral Act into law. As a result of this landmark legislation, This text is about women suffrage. And the right to vote. In 1893 the women started to crowed around the countermen place they started to yell out. We should have the right to vote they kept yelling that out louder and louder so then they started to say let us vote so they considered it. So they started to let them vote.

Why was New Zealand the first women to have suffrage women usually worked with their husband on there farm. The women though they should have the same jobs as the men do. The women should be able to have the same vote. In 1885 women have to do things for the men like woman had  to help the men because they always drinking problems for them to get a vote. Kate Sheppard believe the suffrage was real that is why she got to sign the petition. And Kate Sheppard was the first female national council of women in New Zealand. Kate Sheppard was also first to sign the petition.

I really think you are a really great boxer here are some great things about you. Your fastest knockout was 3 seconds like wow how. Jose Aldo Man he can talk the walk  but can't walk the walk.I reckon you could one day be the best in boxing so keep going.
